Halloween Rumkin Punch


This happy accident came about after straining out the water from the pumpkin pulp I used to make my pumpkin pie. Sure, I probably could have made a super juice, but when Little Pea’s 7 o’clock bedtime has been and gone, I am hankering after something with a little more bite…


  • 3 parts strained pumpkin juice (to obtain this, leave freshly-made pumpkin puree in a clean cloth in a sieve to drip for an hour)
  • 1 part golden rum
  • 1 part freshly squeezed clementine juice
  • 1 tablespoon runny honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Swirl all the ingredients in a shaker with ice cubes and strain into a glass. A nice little cockle warmer for a dark, misty All Hallows Eve. Something wicked this way comes…
